Your shop's records belong to your business. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, and who can see it.

What this website collects

If you send a demo request, we receive the details you type: your name, business name and phone number, and, if you give them, your email, village or town, what you use now, the plan you are interested in and your message.

The form emails these details to our sales inbox. They are not stored on the website. We use them only to contact you about Connect POS, and we do not sell or share them.

This website does not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies. If you close the preview banner, your browser remembers that until you close the tab. Nothing is sent to us.

Your shop's records in Connect POS

When your shop uses Connect POS, it stores your business details, products and prices, sales and receipts, held sales, cash-ups, stock counts, staff names and sign-in PINs, and any customer details your staff choose to record.

Each shop is kept separate. Only the people you set up in your shop can sign in to it, and managers approve the tasks that need a manager. Records are kept on Connect IT's cloud server with encrypted backups.

Connect IT staff look at your shop's records only to set up and support the service, or when you ask us to.

Payments and TIMS

Connect POS records how a sale was paid. It does not take card or mobile money payments, so card details never pass through it.

The TIMS add-on is in development and not accredited. Once it is available and your shop turns it on, receipt details will be sent to the Ministry for Revenue as TIMS requires. Shops that do not use the add-on send nothing to the Ministry through Connect POS.

Keeping, copying and deleting

We keep demo request emails while we are talking with you about Connect POS. Ask us and we will delete them.

If your plan is paused or ends, we do not delete your shop's records without your instruction. Your business may need to keep sales records for its own tax and accounting duties. To ask for a copy or for deletion, contact us. We will check that the request comes from the business owner first.

Keeping your shop safe

Give each staff member their own PIN and do not share manager PINs. If you think someone has used a PIN or a device they should not have, call us straight away.

We use access checks, separate shops, encrypted backups and activity records as practical safeguards. No online service can promise zero risk.
